Serving others comes in all forms – locally and globally. No form of service is too small when you are doing it for the glory of our Lord.

If you’re looking for ideas on how to serve, here are some suggestions.

  • Children’s Clothing Closet (3C’s) Offering good, used children’s clothing to families in Guthrie and surrounding counties. For more information on donations and distribution, click here.

  • United Methodist Women (UMW) Organized around education and advocacy for local and global mission work. Meets at 7PM, every 3rd Monday, Sept-May, breaking Dec-Jan.

  • Prayer Shawl Ministry Creates and distributes knitted or crocheted prayer shawls to persons in need.

  • Missions Team Organizes hands-on mission work. Check our Facebook page for current opportunities to serve.

  • Email Prayer Chain Sends out information for people and situations in need of our prayer support.

  • Minor Building Maintenance Using handy worker skills and a willingness to work for general up-keep and maintenance for the building and grounds. 

  • Funeral Lunches Volunteers serve together to prepare the space, food, refreshments, luncheon service, and clean-up.

  • Christian Education Classes and Small Groups Leaders and assistants help guide those growing in their faith. PUMC serves all ages – preschool through adulthood.

  • Worship Assistants and Nursery Volunteers Volunteers always welcomed for greeting, ushering, praise team, chancel choir, chimes, and nursery care.
