Sunday Mornings at PUMC
Join us for Worship at 9:30am and Sunday School at 10:45.
Worship Service
With each worship service, you can expect:
- a mix of traditional hymns, classic and modern worship songs
- prayers for healing and comfort, as well as prayers of praise
- a Bible-based message with application to daily living
Communion
Holy Communion is celebrated the first Sunday of every month. We celebrate with an open table, which means all who desire a closer relationship with Jesus Christ are welcome to the table.
Hearing Assistance
Hearing assistance devices are available. Ushers are available to help you locate and operate the device.
Seating
Everyone is invited to sit together in the pews. Tables and chairs are available in the back of the worship area. This area is intended for individuals who are unable to access the pews comfortably and families with young children; however, all are welcome.
Please note: If you sit in those open pews in the front, you will not be called on or singled out. Nor does the Reverend bite. Unless you try to steal food from his hands at a potluck – then we cannot make any guarantees.
Attire
Please dress for God – not for us. Casual attire is always welcome; however, feel free to dress in black-tie formalwear if desired.
But the Lord said to Samuel, “Have no regard for his appearance or stature, because I haven’t selected him. God doesn’t look at things like humans do. Humans see only what is visible to the eyes, but the Lord sees into the heart.” – I Samuel 16:7
Children
Worship – year round:
We believe children should be a part of the worship experience – squirming, questions, and all that comes with that involvement. So don’t worry parents! The church loves to see the children (and I’m told they even hear them!) and God loves to hear the prayers from the parents as they attempt to guide their children through the new experiences of worshipping as the priesthood of all believers.
Children’s Message: The children will be invited to the front of the church for a special Children’s Message.
Worship Bags: These bags are available to help children keep their hands active during the service. They are below the name badges, next to the upper restroom.
Nursery – year round:
Nursery care is available for infants and toddlers throughout the year. Please see an usher so they may introduce you to the individual(s) caring for your child(ren) that Sunday.
Sunday School – All ages and interests!
September – May, 10:45-11:30AM
We offer traditional Sunday School programs tailored for all ages, from preschoolers to adults. Preschool Class: Exciting stories, songs, and activities for our youngest learners to discover the wonders of faith. Teen Classes: Relevant discussions and activities to empower teens to navigate life’s challenges with faith and wisdom. Adult Classes: Thought-provoking discussions and study groups for adults seeking to deepen their understanding of scripture and spiritual principles.
In addition to traditional Sunday School, there will be a variety of engaging and enriching group activities designed to cater to different interests and preferences. So whether you’re into deep discussions, hands-on hobbies, or spiritual exploration, there’s something here for everyone.
